Bruin Central
Los Angeles, California
Project Type: Residential Size: 10,000 sqft Credit: Wenjia's Previous Experience at Corgan Bruin Central at UCLA is envisioned as a student housing complex seamlessly integrated with a transportation hub at the heart of campus in Los Angeles. Designed to cultivate a new residential community, this concept emphasizes sustainable transit—connecting living spaces directly to bike, bus, or future light-rail systems. The vision prioritizes walkable, transit-oriented living that reduces car dependency, enhances connectivity across campus, and supports student wellness through convenience and accessibility. The project blends flexible residential design with infrastructure that encourages public and shared mobility. Private or shared living units are paired with communal amenities, with architecture that fosters social interaction while enabling efficient transit flow. The underlying goal is to create a self-sustaining micro-community rooted in sustainable living. In doing so, Bruin Central aims not only to efficiently house students but also to reimagine how campus life integrates with greener transportation solutions—serving as a model for future university developments.
